Need to Notarize a Document for Use in India?

Living in California but need to sign documents that will be sent to India?

California Notary appointments are available for individuals who need appropriate signatures notarized on documents intended for use in India.

Indian citizens, NRIs, OCI cardholders and others dealing with matters in India may need to execute documents while physically present in the United States.

Notarization, apostille, authentication, consular attestation or legalization, registration and acceptance of a document in India are separate matters. Requirements depend upon the type of document and the authority where it will ultimately be used. California notarization does not by itself guarantee acceptance of a document in India.
